As the major employer of EMS personnel in the Greater-York area, we have decided that a new, well trained EMT is as good, if not better, than a poorly trained experienced provider. It is because of this that we have developed an EMT course, in conjunction with Harrisburg Area Community College, that will not only give the student additional information, but experience too. We are one of the only non-college based classes that offers observation time on our units. This allows students to have the ability to observe EMTs and Paramedics treat patients, relating their classroom knowledge to reality. This has proven to be a beneficial aspect of the program.
